Forum retreats
A full retreat designed and facilitated end to end — the reset that takes a group from functional to genuinely close.
“Thanks Fletcher, the best forum retreat facilitator in my 40 odd years in YPO.”

Twenty-six years inside the room — as a member, as a moderator seven times over, and now as the person who trains them.
A Forum only works when people tell the truth in it. Most of my work is about making that possible.
I have sat in Forum for twenty-six years and moderated for seven terms, so I know what it feels like from the inside — the meeting that runs on autopilot, the member who never quite goes deep, the group that has been together long enough to stop being honest with each other. I am a Certified Forum Facilitator for YPO and EO, and I train moderators and Forums around the world.
What I teach is reflection and deeper thinking: vulnerability, and how to build a place safe enough that people will actually use it. The mechanics of Forum are easy to learn. The culture underneath them is the part that takes work.

Thanks for your leadership and guidance to reinvent our Forum. Found the session today extremely helpful, practical, and informative.

Great reframing of the update process, and also the structure of the monthly forum.

Fletcher fitted in and understood where we were as a Forum, and helped us move forward from there.

Structured, organised and relentlessly pushed us over the two days!

Grounding a new Forum in the protocol, or re-grounding an experienced one that has drifted away from it.
Preparing incoming moderators for the job, from someone who has done the role seven times.
Forum built for couples and partners, where the dynamics and the stakes are different.
Remote sessions that hold real depth — not a meeting with the cameras on.
Chapter gatherings, strategy summits and leadership tracks for larger groups and boards.
Multi-day summits bringing moderators together across a region — run in Asia, India and the United States.
EO’s advanced Forum programme — an intensive half-day of deeper peer engagement and leadership development for Forums past the basics.
A Forum is only ever as good as its moderator. I run Moderator Summits across three regions, bringing moderators together to sharpen the craft — alongside Forum Next Level Training for groups ready to go further than the standard protocol takes them.
I began by training teenagers in the Air Force Cadet Corps, which turned out to be good preparation for everything since. For nearly two decades I have grown businesses and trained CEOs, entrepreneurs and leaders across 31 countries.
In EO I built the first EO Regional Council and served three years on EO’s Global Board. I am a master facilitator for Strategy Summits and the Global Leadership Academy, and I work with Hesse Partners on retreats, forum workshops and corporate programmes.
I run Global Moderator Summits in Asia, India and the United States — including the US East Moderator Summit in San Juan, Puerto Rico, co-facilitated with Anna Birch — and deliver Forum Next Level, EO’s advanced Forum programme, as an intensive half-day for groups ready to push past the standard protocol. In the United States that work has also included Washington DC’s Leadership Academy alongside White House Scholar Warren Rustand, Arbinger workshops, and strategy summits for EO’s US regions.
Groups tell me the same things: direct without being blunt, funny when it helps, and quick to notice the thing nobody is saying. I would rather ask the uncomfortable question kindly than leave it sitting in the room for another year.
The aviation background shows up more than you would expect. Checklists, debriefs, speaking up when something feels wrong — the systems that keep pilots alive translate neatly into how a group of leaders talks to each other.
I divide my time between New Zealand, Australia and the United States, and travel for retreats, summits and conferences worldwide — including Moderator Summits across Asia and India.

Retreats, workshops, moderator training, chapter sessions — tell me where the group is at and I’ll tell you what I’d do.
